It's Good To Be King
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Comcast Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Brian Roberts earned $27.8 million in compensation in 2006. Chairman of the Finance and Executive Committee of the Comcast Board of Directors Ralph Roberts, the father of CEO Brian Roberts, earned $24.1 million in 2006.
The Comcast CEO made $106,923 a day in 2006, in 2005 the median Pennsylvania household made $46,300 in an entire year.
According to the Economic Policy Institute, the average CEO in 2005 was paid almost $11 million a year or 262 times the average worker. In those terms the Comcast CEO earned 664 times the average U.S. worker.
