Eating and Driving are Optional at Heritage Foundation!

In an effort to spin the recent declines in inflation-adjusted wages in 2008, a commentator from Heritage Foundation noted that if you take out food and energy prices the growth in wages is pretty respectable.

In reply Jared Bernstein an economist from the Economic Policy Institute (EPI) noted that's fine if you don't eat or drive.

Hear it all on the first hour of the Diane Rehm show today.

For a full run down on the august employment situation here is the latest from EPI and the latest from CEPR.
